Less than 10% of our workforce has graduated from college-level education. [1]Imagine what we can accomplish as a nation if we equip the 90% with better education. Imagine how prosperous and powerful our country will be when we have enough skill and expertise to harness and manage our own natural resources. Imagine how equal access to higher education improves our democracy. When everyone has equal opportunity and is better informed, the best of us will rise to the top. When we have the best of us in our leadership, uniting our massive and skillful workforce under a shared vision, there is nothing our nation cannot accomplish.

What We Do
Giving equal access to everyone is a big undertaking and requires government involvement to make it a reality. But ordinary citizens like ourselves can do our part to help. PS3S, with its limited resources, both financial and personal, makes it its mission to help those underprivileged but otherwise talented and driven students reach their dream of graduating college education and reaching their full potential.
Talent scouting
PS3S works with local community leaders in Cianjur to seek out talented high school graduates who have high aspirations to go to college but are constrained by their social and economic situation.
College admissions assistance
The college admissions process can be complex and overwhelming for most high school students. We help our students find information about admission requirements and scholarships. We also provide counseling to help them choose the school and program that matches their academic aptitude, interests, and circumstances.
Admission test preperation
Students from smaller towns are disadvantaged when competing against high schoolers from big cities in college admission tests. The quality of high school education in Indonesia still needs to be distributed more evenly. On top of that, access to high-quality tutoring is almost unheard of in small towns. To level the playing field, we work with volunteers to provide tutoring for our students to help them better prepare for college admission tests.
Financial assistance
PS3S does not have ample financial resources to fund our students' education. However, we help students find scholarships to cover their tuition and study-related expenses and sponsors to help with their living costs. We do not collect donations, but we connect donors to our students. We secure commitments from our donors to assist our students financially, and donors arrange the funding directly with our students.
Housing / Foster Parenting
Housing is one major living expense our students must manage during their studies. To minimize this cost, we often pair our students with friends and families as foster parents. Besides reducing the cost of living, foster parents provide guidance, a sense of family away from home, and role models for our students. Aside from foster parents, some of our students live in campus dormitories when available. Campus dormitories also provide extra-curricular activities that benefit our students outside classrooms.
Leadership and personal development
Outside their study programs, PS3S also provides periodical training for leadership, character-building, personal development, soft skill, and entrepreneurship, among other things.
Who We Are
We are a small community of friends and families sharing the same passion to help families escape poverty. Higher education is the best way to help somebody earn higher paying jobs, which enable them to get their family out of poverty.
We are not a big organization with significant funding and resources. All we have is our grit and determination to help as many students and their families as we can, what all that we've got.

We have done this for the last 10 years, and we hope to continue doing this and promote our program so more people will get involved and help make higher education accessible to everyone.

What People Say About Us
In our experience of becoming Foster Parent, with different students sharing our home, we can't help but notice that these children, with all their different characters and challenges, were hand-picked and deliberately selected by God for us, like messages to help us become better parents and better individuals. We learned a lot from our experience, as much as we hope our foster children learn from their experience living with us.

Foster Parent
PS3S made me realize that we often put artificial conditions as prerequisites to start doing something good to justify us not taking real actions. PS3S shows us that with strong determination, we can make a big impact, even with all our limitations.

Adenita
Foster Parent
PS3S has brilliantly come up with a simple yet effective way to change a person's trajectory in life. Giving these students access to higher education doesn't just change their lives; it changes the lives of their families and their next-generation family members. But the impact continues beyond that. This act of kindness will create a never-ending chain of reactions in the future. These students who are grateful for the assistance they receive from total strangers will likely give back to next-generation students, and the chain continues. And to have a program with that kind of impact, yet incredibly simple, is nothing short of genius.

PS3S is such an inspiration in showing us that when we genuinely start a small act of kindness, it can turn into something much bigger than we first imagined. It all began by helping one student get into college, and now it has graduated many students and created a better future for them. PS3S also opens the doors for regular folks who share similar concerns but don't necessarily know what to do to get involved and take real actions to make real changes.
